Project Description

This moving mural was created by Next/Now for Cushman and Wakefield's Washington DC office. The project is driven by TouchDesigner and displays Notch blocks and video content created by Next/Now on a schedule. Several modes incorporate statistics provided by the client, one mode displays various statistics as text floating through a point cloud and others use recent market data to control the speed and turbulence of Notch content.

My Role

I was in charge of maintaining the TouchDesigner project at large. I implemented the sequential media player, ensured the application ran smoothly, wrote the logic for pulling data from provided excel sheets, and did most of the debugging and testing. This project used a lot of work from the art team, some of which was in TouchDesigner, and I provided a lot of guidance and assistance on the technical end for the more TOP oriented members of our team. When it came time to install I was the only developer on-site in Washington DC, working with an external AV team we set up the project in under a day.
